As a word of caution, this issue needs to be addressed before it gets ballooned out of proportion that may need intense dental procedures.

2.      Enamel erosion: Even with mild erosion of enamel layer, it is quite possible to experience temperature sensitivity, especially after consuming hot or cold beverages or food. Although this issue can be addressed through specially formulated tooth paste, a visit to dental clinic should not be avoided to rule out other issues.

3.      Improper style of brushing and flossing: Surprised? People often resort to excessive pressure while brushing and flossing so as to remain stains. This is a completely wrong notion and can lead to bleeding of gums accompanied with pain and even their recession and thereby pave way for instability of teeth.

4.      Misaligned teeth: Tooth pain can also be caused by misaligned teeth as they create improper distribution of stress and pressure. A typical case can also be due to the impact of wisdom teeth which may be pushing the adjacent teeth. On most occasions, orthodontic treatment may be necessary to resolve the issue.

6.      Periodontal disease: Infection due to buildup of plaques is also one of the common reasons that induce tooth pain. Inflammation caused by the infection can easily spread towards the root of the tooth and offer severe discomfort.

7.      Bruxism: Tooth grinding or known as Bruxism in medical terminology, can not only create pain in tooth, but also in jaws and neck region. As few patients tend to grind their teeth during highly stressed conditions or while sleeping, custom made mouth guard is one of the simple solutions to achieve relief from it.
